"PLAY MISTY FOR ME" GALA SEPTEMBER 15th, 2001 The "Play Misty for Me" Gala was held on September 15th at the Crossroads Community Room and the movie was presented at the Resort Theaters immediately after the Gala. Clint was very gracious and gave a little talk on making the movie and his experiences of first time directing. Wonderful decorations from "Illusions of Grandeur" and delicious food and wine donated by local restaurants and wineries.  The committee worked very hard on this event - special thanks to Chair Bill Cassara and all committee members.  The committee also decided to donate the sale of the limited edition DVDs of the movie to the California Professional Firefighters Foundation in response to the September 11th terrorist attack.  We raised nearly $900 for this cause.

The "Magical Misty Bus Tour" was the brainchild of Bill and our great 'friend' Doug Lumsden made it all possible.  We had an advance copy of the DVD and committee member Heather Arnold worked with Full Steam Marketing to edit the DVD so it could be shown at the various stops on the tour.  Doug donated his "Monterey Bay Scenic Tours" bus and all his high tech video equipment to make this a wonderful and unique outing for the community.  We hope to do this again as a 'friends' event.  Watch out for news. Don't forget, this is the first of a series of films that highlight Monterey County locations.  Any suggestions for future films would be greatly appreciated.
